Keating Township Phase III Sewer Project

Phase III Customers The equipment is available for pick up with the Tap In fee payment. NO ONE is to connect until you receive the notice to connect letter and you receive inspection approval.

The Keating Township Supervisors wish to provide information on the Phase III Sanitary Sewer Project which is currently under construction. At the Keating Township Meeting held on December 4, 2019 the Supervisors accepted the lowest, qualified bids below.

Contract No. 1B – Wastewater Treatment Plant – Konzel Construction, Inc. (Erie, PA) - $2,962,000.

Contract No. 1C – Electrical – Dave Kronenwetter Electric (Kersey, PA) - $210.579.

Contract No. 2B – Wastewater Collection System – C & R Directional Boring, LLC (Clearfield, PA) - $3,509,038.

Contract No. 3, Change order 1 – Grinder Pump Supply – Environmental One Corporation (Niskayuna, NY) - $731,317.75.

U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Utilities Service (RUS) awarded a $4,827,000 grant, a $6,556,000 loan and a $2,962,000 loan (both at 2½% interest for a 38 year term) to finance Phase II and Phase III Wastewater Sewer Projects.

Construction has begun on the Treatment Plant and the Collection System. When the collection lines are being laid in your area, the Township will be sending out notices for residents to pick up flags at the office to mark their connection points along the main line.

Township Meetings

The Keating Township Board of Supervisors meets at 6:00 pm once a month at the Township Building. Workshops are held at 5:00 pm as needed. The public is invited to attend.

NOTE: We cannot accept new items to be added to the agenda within 24 hours of a meeting. If anything is presented the day of the meeting, it will be tabled until the next meeting.

Normal office hours Monday through Friday: 8 am – 4pm except weekends and holidays.
